Satellite TV Services

There are a variety of services that you can use for your television entertainment. The two main services are the satellite tv providers and the cable television operators.

Cable has been around for a lot longer than satellite tv but they are getting pushed out of the television market, one subscriber at a time, mostly due to the offers for free satellite systems.

The free satellite tv systems that are being offered by Dish Network and DIRECTV give consumers many more choices for their digital television entertainment dollar. Due to the fact that Dish Network and DIRECTV are in constant competition, the offers just keep getting better and better.

Today you can get a complete satellite system installed for free. The current offers include a free dish plus receivers and remote controls for up to four rooms in your home. They will even give you free standard professional installation.

Many people are turning to satellite tv services even if they don't have to. Many of the early subscribers simply went with satellite tv because they had no other choice. They happened to live outside the geographical boundaries of the cable companies.

With hundreds of channels to choose from plus low priced programming packages, the satellite tv providers have managed to steal cable customers one by one.

The only reason why I decided to go with cable was because I was afraid to try something new. Cable seemed like the easiest way to go. Really, it wasn't. It all got taken care of but there were a few hassles. Anyway, I was visiting my brother for a few days and he happened to be getting Dish Network installed at the time. Wow! What a difference! And everything went so smooth. I'm sure that it's not always as smooth as that experience but still, it was way better than my cale experience and my brother now has almost twice as many channels as me (not for long) and it costs quite a bit less than my cable bill.
